    Seabird Mews is a 3 bedroom maisonette with private parking and near the beach, town centre, train to Edinburgh. For golf enthusiasts, it is minutes from the West Links Course and 4 miles from Muirfield – home to The Open Championship 2013.

    LOCATION:  Located off a quiet cul-de-sac in North Berwick, Seabird Mews is ideally situated in the west end of this picturesque seaside resort. Our contemporary maisonette exudes a relaxed atmosphere which is appealing as a holiday home or workplace for the discerning business traveller. It is an easy stroll to the colourful High Street, West Links golf course and sandy beach overlooking Fidra and other volcanic islands. Particularly convenient is its private off-street parking and short walk to the train station, thus providing an attractive option for those wishing to explore Edinburgh.

     

    FIRST FLOOR:  Truly stunning is its light and airy open-plan, fully modernized kitchen, dining area and sitting room with vaulted ceiling and two balconies, one facing the Firth of Forth for eating al fresco and the other south-facing overlooking the patio garden. The kitchen features an island design for cooking and dining convenience, fully equipped with integrated SMEG appliances (gas hob with extractor hood, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer). Our dining table comfortably seats 6 people. The sitting room area includes two sofas and an entertainment centre with BT Vision cable and wireless network, 32" flat screen TV, CD, video and DVD player. We also provide a selection of films and books.

     

    GROUND FLOOR: The front door opens into a spacious inner porch/cloakroom suitable for storing golf bags, bicycles and other sporting equipment. A second door opens into the entrance hall, staircase to the open-plan sitting room/kitchen, and passageway leading to the bedrooms, family bathroom and utility room (basin, SMEG washer-dryer).

    Bedrooms: 3 bedrooms with spacious built-in wardrobes and sleeping five guests (1 queen, 2 twins, 1 single). The queen bedroom opens onto a decked patio with teak garden furniture and Weber grill for barbequing. The carpeted master bedroom with two twins is complemented by an en-suite bathroom and access to a sunroom-office, separated by sliding French doors. The carpeted single bedroom with dressing table overlooks the patio.

    Bathrooms: 2, including an en-suite shower/WC and larger family bathroom with separate shower, bathtub. Both rooms are fitted with a Hans Grohe thermostatic mixer, Villeroy & Boch fixtures, and mirrored vanity unit/basin with storage space.

    Office: This large sunny room is accessible via the twin bedroom and comes equipped with a desk, office supplies, and a Sony CD player/DAB radio with IPOD docking station.

     

    AMENITIES: Standard services and facilities include broadband internet connection with WiFi, two telephones for free UK landline calls, central heating. Special services are available upon request such as airport or local transfers, in-house catering, restaurant reservations and golf bookings.

    Road Directions

    From Edinburgh: Take the A720 (City Bypass South) east, following the signs for Berwick on Tweed. Join the A1 and continue east. Turn left on to A198 to North Berwick.
    From the South: A1 Bypass direction Dunbar, approx. 2 miles after turn right on to A198 (signposted Tyninghame) to North Berwick, passing through Whitekirk.

    Public Transport Directions

    From the nearest information centre:- From North Berwick Tourist Information Centre turn left into the High Street, continue up Station Hill and onto Dirleton Ave. Turn left at Links Road, right into May Terrace and then left into Ibris Place until you reach the end of the cul-de-sac. On your left hand side Seabird Mews is the second villa from the left of four white-washed terrace houses.

    Getting there by railway:- Edinburgh Waverley station local train to North Berwick. Hourly and half-hourly service. Extra and late trains during Edinburgh International Festival and New Year. Journey time 30 minutes. Seabird Mews is maximum 5 minute walk from station.

    Getting there by aeroplane:- From Edinburgh Airport bus or taxi to Edinburgh Waverley railway station. Train direct from there to North Berwick. Also, Edinburgh Airport is readily accessible in about 45 minutes by car. Follow City Bypass A720 for Edinburgh and A1 south. Join A1 and continue until sign A198 to North Berwick.
