Seafield House

Overview

Seafield House faces down Loch Inver to the open sea. There are magnificent sea views from most rooms in the house, with the Outer Hebrides visible on a clear day, and the westerly orientation means that spectacular sunsets can often be enjoyed without leaving the house. The upstairs windows provide excellent vantage points for armchair ornithologists, with various species of ducks, divers, herons and cormorants all regularly sighted. Seafield House has been redecorated and completely refurnished in 2007

Seafield House is a traditional stone built house located right on the seafront in the coastal village of Lochinver.

It offers spacious accommodation, accentuated by the light reflected into the house through the sea-facing windows.

The house sleeps up to 10 people comfortably.
The accommodation comprises 5 bedrooms (one en-suite), two bathrooms, lounge, dining room, kitchen and utility space.

There is a sizeable front porch for outdoor clothes and footwear, and the property sits in a mature garden with a host of species of trees, shrubs and herbs.

Dining room with large rustic dining table. An oil fired Rayburn burns constantly, keeping the room snug and providing a top-class oven.

This is the ideal place to enjoy a refreshing cup of tea after a day in the mountains or just to watch the activity in the harbour.

The kitchen is located off the dining room, is in a traditional farmhouse style, and is equipped with a hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, and all the expected electrical appliances and utensils.

The kitchen gives to a small utility space, with washing machine, that leads to the back door and the garden.
The lounge has two traditional leather sofas, a flat screen TV and DVD player and stereo. Views of the sea.
A large bathroom is also located on the ground floor with shower (adapted for disabled use) with washbasin and toilet.

There is also a sizeable porch on the front of the house, ideal for outdoor clothing and footwear.
