Seaside House

Beautifully decorated and furnished, traditional Crofter's Cottage sitting at the foot of Beinn Dubh with fantastic sea views over to Taransay and up the Luskentyre Estuary.

This cosy cottage has recently been redecorated and refurbished throughout and boasts a wealth of tartans and tweeds and work by local artists to really give you a hebridean home for your holiday. Seaside House is a cosy crofter's cottage which sleeps up to 8 guests in 3 bedrooms. It sits in an outstanding location set back from the road with beautiful views over to the Isle of Taransay and up the Luskentyre Estuary which at low tide has a plethora of colours with the white sands and turquoise waters - a living watercolour.

The house has a large stone built and glazed porch leading into a hallway from which leads the stairs and doorways into the sitting room one way and dining room the other. There is a sumptuous plaid carpet laid throughout. The sitting room is decorated in colours to tie in with the sands and sea and has an open fire. The dining room has tartans and greens and is double aspect with a multi-fuel, glass fronted stove. A door leads from here into the newly refurbished kitchen with all appliances including a substantial fridge freezer, large oven with ceramic hob and dishwasher. The kitchen is also double aspect and the rear window gives you views literally straight up Beinn Dubh and over to Beinn Luskentyre, where golden eagles can be seen swooping over the summit.

A back hallway leads to the utility room with sink and washing machine and back door; newly fitted bathroom with bath, wc and wash hand basin and a small downstairs twin room with views over to Taransay.

Upstairs there are two large bedrooms: One with solid oak kingsize bed and furniture and the other with twin divans and bunk beds (sleeps 4). Between the two there is a small landing and a shower room with shower, wc and wash hand basin. There are also two ipod docks in the house.

Seaside House really is the perfect base for your hebridean holiday, with modern comforts but tastefully furnished to suit its surroundings.
