From the nearest information centre:- From Kirkwall T.I.C. go out on to Junction Road turn left on to Castle Street then turn right on to Broad Street go past the cathedral and on to Palace Road. Follow this road until Inganess road then turn left. After 1 mile turn left at the black building, Berstane House is 0.5 mile along this road. From Stromness T.I.C. follow signs for Kirkwall for 15 miles turn right at the first garage, then right at the roundabout. Turn up Clay Loan, right at the top and carry on to Inganess Road, turn left, then 1st left. Berstane House is 0.5 mile along this road.
