Road Directions

From the South: Join M6 motorway follow M6 The North West until you enter Scotland. Continue on A74M onto the M74 exit at junction 4 and join M73 bear left onto M8. Depart M8 at junction 30 onto M898 to go across the Erskine Bridge which will take you onto the A82. At Tarbet join A83. After the "Rest and be Thankfull pass" go left onto A815 to Dunoon., turn left onto Jane Street and then right onto Clyde Street were the Selborne Hotel is located. Alternatively continue along the M8 to Greenock and pick up Clyde Ferries.

Public Transport Directions

From the nearest information centre:- Facing the River Clyde at the Tourist Information Centre in Dunoon, turn right, left at the roundabout onto the A815. Follow the road and turn left onto Jane Street and then right again onto Clyde Street were the Selborne hotel is located, Hotel on the left, Car Park on the right. By foot, the easiest route is to follow the promenade. Facing the River Clyde at the Tourist Information Centre in Dunoon, turn right and follow the promenade. At the signpost for Hillfoot shops on WestBay, turn up the street, and 1st left onto Clyde Street, where the Selborne front entrance is located

Getting there by railway:- The railway terminates at Gourock Railway Station, at the ferry terminal. Take Caledonian MacBryne Ferry across to Dunoon and follow directions from above.

Getting there by aeroplane:- Approximately 25 miles from Glasgow Airport and 35 from Prestwick, Dunoon and the Selborne Hotel is close enough to the hustle and bustle of Glasgow, but far enough away to provide a relaxing break. From Prestwick or Glasgow Int Airports, pick up a train or bus service to Greenock and follow the directions above

Getting there by ferry:- Approximately half a mile from Dunoons CalMac Ferry Terminal. Turn left on the promenade with your back to the River Clyde and follow the above directions. The Selborne is less than a 15 minute walk, or jump in a taxi, normally waiting at the pier entrance.
