We are located on Minto Street, just 1 mile south of Edinburgh's famous Royal Mile, which hosts at the top of the hill the amazingly impressive Edinburgh Castle and at the bottom of the hill the world famous Palace of Holyrood House
As one of the best value Edinburgh guest houses, the Sherwood can offer the choice of double, twin and family rooms, all of which are en-suite or have private bathrooms, all having secondary or double glazing, and all with central heating. Some rooms have fridge and microwave in addition to normal tea/coffee making facilities.
We are located in the Newington area of Edinburgh, which host some great pubs and restaurants. There is a golf course only 5 or so minutes walk from the door of the guest house, while the Royal Commonwealth Pool, the Queens Hall, the Royal College of Surgeons and the Festival Theatre are just a leasurely stroll away.
we have a PC in the dining room for guests' use between the hours of 10.30 & 22.00 and a wi-fi network which can usually be used from all guest rooms, 24hrs a day. Due to the unpredictability of computers we never guarentee this to be always on but we do try to keep it running as above.
The Sherwood will always strive to bring you the best value for money in town with the best continental breakfast anywhere .
