Price for 2 £64 per night, minimum 3 nights, £384 per week. Sit out and admire the view over the sea to Ben Nevis. Sea otters live on site, and dolphins are occasional visitors. Built in 1984 as a but-and-ben to match the landscape. On the ground floor: kitchen/dining room, drawing/TV room, double bedroom, shower room and hall. On the first floor: one twin and one single bedroom. The traditional design means that access is by a sturdy ladder. Or use the sofa bed in the drawing room, and isolate the ladder from toddlers. On site: free wi-fi, launderette, bike hire, games room, campfire and wildlife trail - www.ShielingWildlife.co.uk - and a list so the children can tick things off as they find them. Stroll to ferry, pub, shop, bistro and buses for Tobermory and Iona (for Staffa). Walk to swimming pool, golf and and Duart Castle. Wildlife tours start from the door, so you don't even need a car, especially for short breaks. The perfect central base for all Mull.
