West Linton is on A702, 18 miles from Princes Street. Our cottages are 1.25 miles from the village, going south. Entrance marked 'Slipperfield House'. Going North - we are to be found 2 miles north of Dolphinton Village, on the left hand side opposite Mendick Farmhouse..
From the nearest information centre:- From Peebles take the A72 via Neidpath Castle for approximately 6 miles and then take B7059 to West Linton via Romanno Bridge. Go through West Linton via Main street to T junction and turn left onto A702(south). Slipperfield House gates are marked on the right hand side of the road opposite Mendick Farm on the left, which is approximately 1.25 miles from West Linton, continue to end of drive which curls round Slipperfield Loch, to Slipperfield house for keys.
Getting there by railway:- From Edinburgh Waverley telephone 01968 660401 for directions because Edinburgh Princes Street has altered the city traffic flow and it is complex to explain on this particular site, depending on where your car is parked.
Getting there by aeroplane:- From Edinburgh airport drive towards Edinburgh and after about a mile take the Edinburgh city bypass road A720 then branch off after ten minutes at signpost Biggar/Carlisle which is on the A702 (note you are on the A720, turning confusingly onto the A702). Takes approximately 25 minutes to West Linton on the A702 from here, depending on traffic flow and rush hour.
