With its wonderful panoramic views over surrounding farmland, this spacious and stylishly decorated cottage makes an excellent base for exploring the beautiful beaches of the Solway coast and for making the most of all glorious Dumfries & Galloway has to offer.

Smithy Cottage's lavish living room has luxurious electric reclining chairs, a modern wall-mounted gas fire as well as a state-of-the-art entertainment centre. The stylish family-sized kitchen is fully equipped and boasts a huge American-style fridge, a wine fridge and a coffee maker. Leading off from the kitchen, the bright and airy conservatory with its glass dining table overlooks the patio's pretty rockery - the garden and patio area also have a table with chairs as well as a gas barbecue which are great for al fresco dining!

Sleeping six, the gorgeous bedrooms consist of a double room with an en suite walk-in shower room and French doors which lead out onto a patio area. The second double room has spacious fitted wardrobes, and the twin room has beautiful pine furniture. After a good night sleep, set yourself up for the day in the cottages jacuzzi bath or steam room.

The cottage is ideally located near to many of the regions excellent family-friendly visitor attractions including the fantastic Mossburn Animal Centre, the award-winning ice cream producers at Drummuir Farm and the magnificent castles of Drumlanrig and Caerlaverock. Alternatively, spend a day spotting wildlife at Caerlaverock Wetland Centre or the Grey Mare's Trail Nature Reserve, or why not discover the region's fairways and first-class fishing spots? This is also the perfect destination for walking and cycling with the world-class 7stanes mountain biking centres offering challenges for riders of all abilities.
