Situated four miles from the idyllic village of Crawfordjohn and seven miles from the historic Royal Burgh of Sanquhar, Spango Bank is the ideal location for either an action packed break or a relaxing rural retreat where you can unwind and escape the rat race.

There is a huge variety of wildlife on your door step, from pheasants to partridges, rabbits to ducks.
Keep an eye out and you never know what you might see!

Spango Farm itself is renowned for its black face sheep which freely roam the rolling hills around the cottage.
The cattle are bread to produce high quality Scottish beef and are sold at the local markets.
This farm is an exciting and bustling environment. The cottage is situated within its own secure grounds with a large double garage, perfect for storing cars or bikes. There is a spacious garden and garden furniture and a BBQ are provided.
The cottage boasts a brand new fitted kitchen with all essential appliances and equipment.
The living area is equipped with relaxing and modern seating for up to six people as well as a dining area. There is Freeview TV and a DVD player as well as an ipod dock, a selection of DVDs, magazines and books.
Bedrooms
There are 2 comfortable and spacious double bedrooms and a further twin bedroom. Bed linen and towels are provided at no extra cost. If you are staying longer than a week, bed linen and towels will be changed on a Sunday.
Bathroom
The bathroom is equipped with a power shower, bath, toilet and sink. There are extra towels and basic toiletries provided in the bathroom cupboard.
Heating system
The cottage has oil central heating.

Four miles from the farm is the quaint village of Crawfordjohn where you can mix with the locals at the cosy and welcoming Colebrooke Arms Hotel. Enjoy the pub grub and unwind by the open fire with your favourite tipple.

Explore the heritage museum and soak up the historic atmosphere of this enchanted village.

The local town of Sanquhar has various amenities and tourist attractions.
The southern upland way passes through Sanquhar, enabling you to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding area. The river Nith provides an ideal spot for fishing and canoeing enthusiasts.
Take advantage of the local golf club as well as the Forsyth Upper Nithsdale (FUN) swimming pool.
Re - fuel at Burnside tea room for a selection of homemade baking and delicious food.
Why not visit the oldest post office in the world or soak up Sanquhar's historic past at the tollbooth museum.
The recently opened 'A' the Airts' art centre has an inviting coffee shop and a selection of local arts and crafts for sale.
Indulge at the Blackaddie House Hotel for exquisite food and dining by a Michelin star chef.
