This historic Victorian Highland Lodge is located in the attractive village of Spean Bridge, 9 miles north of the resort town of Fort William and Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain. Just 6 miles away is the Nevis Range Ski Centre, while Loch Ness, Glencoe, the Isle of Skye and the Cairngorms National Park are all within easy touring distance.
The Lodge is set in 2 acres of lovely landscaped gardens above the rocky banks of the River Spean. Glen Spean and the Great Glen are renowned for their rugged natural beauty and offer a huge range of outdoor activities. The famous Commando Memorial, heritage sites and distilleries are also close by.
Spean Lodge offers high quality self catering in charming River House.
River House occupies the spacious north wing of the Lodge and stands above the river close to its fine Telford bridge. Its many Victorian features include fireplaces, panelled doors and ornate ceiling cornices. The furnishings reflect the period character of the house.
Facilities:- Large first floor double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and further double bedroom. Shower room and separate toilet on ground floor.
Spacious lounge/dining room with open fire and flat screen colour TV and DVD player. Free Wi-fi access. Fully equipped kitchen. Store room. All rooms have either garden, river or mountain views. Own private entrance. Private parking.
Electricity, oil heating, duvets, bed linen and towels are included in the rental. Secure ski and bike storage. Drying room available.
Relax with a drink or book or you and your family can enjoy a game of badminton, football or cricket in our extensive lawned and wooded grounds.
Village facilities include restaurants, pubs, grocery store, Woollen Mill, railway station, golf course etc.
Short break bookings available (minimum 3 nights) between October and May.
