See http://www.stablefield.co.uk for current availability and prices and to make a booking. There is no booking fee and you can make a provisional booking.

Fortingall has been described as the most attractive of Highland villages, with thatched cottages looking over open farmland to Drummond Hill. It is famous for its Yew - the oldest tree in Europe, and the legend that Pontius Pilate was born there! The village has a licensed hotel, The Fortingall Hotel and there is a small general shop four miles away in Kenmore. Aberfeldy, 8 miles away, has a range of shops

Fortingall is well placed to explore Highland Perthshire with beautiful Glen Lyon, Scotland's longest glen and Loch Tay nearby. There are many Munro mountains in the area, plus opportunities for golf, fishing, cycling, horse riding, boating and white water rafting. There is a Leisure Centre in Aberfeldy and a theatre in Pitlochry.

Stablefield holiday home - sleeps 4 to 8 people. This house was built in 1997 in traditional style and materials on the western edge of Fortingall conservation village. It faces south with good views and a 1/2 acre garden. We are registered with the Scottish Tourist Board - 4 star award. The house has a lounge, separate dining room, kitchen, utility and downstairs cloakroom. It is well equipped with dishwasher, microwave, freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. Upstairs there is a double bedroom with en suite shower room, another double bedroom and two further bedrooms (one very small) each with adult sized bunk beds. There is a family bathroom with bath and shower.

There is Freeview tv/radio in the lounge, kitchen and en suite bedroom. The lounge also has Sky Freesat and dvd.The house is well furnished and maintained to a high standard. No pets or smoking please. It has electric central heating and electricity is included in the rental. The garden has a picnic bench and there is plenty of room for parking on the drive. It is a haven for wildlife, with red squirrels, deer, hares and many bird species. A cot and high chair are available, and towels are available to rent.

http://www.stablefield.co.uk  has a slideshow of the house and area and gives contact details.  A deposit of one quarter is required for reservations. The balance is required four weeks prior to arrival.
