This newly built, modern , detached cottage is situated in the quiet crafting community of Aultgrishan.
Designated National Scenic Area overlooking the sea, Skye, Harris and Lewis.
The cottage is approximately 200 yards from the shore. Aultgrishan has a cafe bar restaurant with another tea room nearby. The areas attractions include Inverewe Gardens, whale-watching trips; salmon, trout and sea fishing, a links golf course and pony trekking.
The coastline around Aultgrishan and to the Rubha Reidh Lighthouse (approx. 4 miles) is rugged and a haven for nesting birds, seals, whales, and otters. The house overlooks the sea and the Isles of Skye, Harris and Lewis. The Beinn Eighe Nature reserve and the Torridon mountains are just a short distance away. All amenities including hotels, restaurants, shops, garage, doctor and a dental surgery can be found in Gairloch. Fishing trips and guided hill walks available by prior arrangement.
Staffa has all ground-floor accommodation and is double glazed throughout. The living areas comprise lounge - overlooking the sea with comfortable furniture, colour TV with Sky Freeview/DVD/video and radio cassette/CD player. The fully fitted, integrated, kitchen overlooking the village of Melvaig is well equipped with electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer, washer/dryer, toaster, etc. plus a good range of crockery and cooking utensils. There is an adjacent dining area.
The double bedroom has a king size bed, a fitted wardrobe and pine furnishings. The twin bedroom has single beds and pine furnishings. Duvets and pillows are provided, although sheets, pillowcases, towels and tea towels can be available on booking at an extra charge.
The bathroom has a modern suite, with bath and shower over the bath, shaver point, heater and heated towel rail.
The porch has space for outdoor clothing and boots, etc. Parking for two cars is available at the rear of the cottage and there is an outside light, together with ramp and step access, for convenience.
Electricity is metered and the amount due will be deducted from the retainer. The meters will be read on arrival and departure.
