From the West M8, M80, M9 from Glasgow
Visitors using the M9 motorway should exist at Junction 11. Once at the Junction there is a roundabout which marks the end of the M9. From here you should take the exit for Bridge of Allan, follow the road through the town itself, and after 200 metres you will find the University on the left.
If approaching from the North take the A9 to the same roundabout and follow the same route through Bridge of Allan as above.
Public Transport Directions
From the nearest information centre:- From any of the tourist information centres in Stirling. Follow signs for university.
Getting there by railway:- Regular Scotrail train services run from both Edinburgh and Glasgow to Stirling. Journey times are 45 minutes and 35 minutes respectively.
Taxis are readily available from Stirling Rail Station concourse, with most buses to the University departing from Murray Place bus station, just up the road from the rail station.
From Edinburgh 45 minutes
From Glasgow 35 minutes
From Stirling station. 10 minutes by taxi (a taxi stance is driectly opposite the station entrance.
Getting there by aeroplane:- Frequent coach transfers are available from each of Scotland's two principal airports - Edinburgh & Glasgow - to their respective city centres.
From there, visitors can access the frequent and reliable train services which run to Stirling from both Edinburgh and Glasgow.
If you are planning to drive, Glasgow Airport is approximately a 1 hour 20 minute drive to the University Campus while Edinburgh Airport is a 45 minute drive.
