    Welcome to Storm-pods. Fancy a camping-style holiday on Islay but want a little luxury? Islay Pods are now available to book online, for a true glamping experience!

    These high quality, well equipped glamping pods offer a luxurious approach to the traditional camping experience without losing the freedom and tranquility of that "back to nature" experience. Because the pods are heated, they offer warm and cosy accommodation - "camping all year round"!

    We currently have two pods, the Lagavulin Pod and the Ardbeg Pod sleeping up to 4 and 6 people. However we are expanding and will house 4 Pods come this summer.

    The Pods are set in Lagavulin Bay on the beautiful Isle of Islay, an area of outstanding natural beauty where golden eagles and otters are frequent visitors and situated right next door to the famous whiskey distilleries of Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg.

    We currently have two pods, the Lagavulin Pod and the Ardbeg Pod sleeping up to 4 and 6 people. However we are expanding and will house 4 Pods come this summer.’ Our pods are £70-£90 per night, with a maximum occupancy of 4 people in the Lagavulin Pod ( if 4 guests stay then it works out at only £15 per guest) or The Ardbeg Pod which has a maximum occupancy of 6 people at £90 per night. Our Glamping Pods are fitted out with: •living room with double futon, table and stools •separate bedroom with fixed double bed •chemical toilet and solar shower •a small kitchen area with sink, microwave, fridge, storage cupboard and workspace •heater •electric sockets and lights Outside there is a patio.

    less than 5 minutes drive from the main Islay Ferry terminal in Port Ellen.

    Our Storm-Pods are situated on the main road between Port Ellen and Lagavulin.

    Less than 3 minute drive from three of Islays major whiskey distillery- Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg

    Public Transport Directions

    Travel into Islay through the two ferry terminals available- Port askaig and Port Ellen or make use of Islay's airports which offers daily flights to and from Glasgow airport.

    Local buses are avilable for transport accross the island plus taxi's are available to hire too.

    Our pods are 2.5 miles from port ellen which is walkable, especially with the famous Laphroaig distillary on the way incase you get thirsty.
