We are located within easy walking distance of the many restaurants, bars and amenities which Aviemore has to offer. The perfect base for visiting the spectacular Cairngorms National Park and the Scottish Highlands.

    Strathspey House offers a unique, spacious, luxurious and individually styled room - the Ruthven Suite. With views over the village to Craigellachie Nature Reserve or the Cairngorm mountain range. The Ruthven Suite boasts an antique super-king size four poster bed, an integral private sitting room (sofa, TV and DVD/VCR player with a selection of Scottish themed DVDs/Videos) and a generous en-suite shower room.

    Enjoy a hearty and varied breakfast with choice of Full Scottish, Extensive Continental, Vegetarian Option and our "house special" - Strathspey House Porridge. All fayre is traditionally cooked on our Aga and served in the comfort of the breakfast conservatory.

    For your comfort, Strathspey House is a strictly non-smoking and pet-free establishment.

    Unfortunately, Strathspey House does not accommodate children under 16 years of age.

    Single guests are welcome and rates are available on request.

    WE CAN ALSO OFFER A FOUR STAR SELF-CATERING COTTAGE, THE RETREAT, ATTACHED TO STRATHSPEY HOUSE. THE RETREAT HAS AN OPEN PLAN LIVING, DINING AND KITCHEN AREA, A BEDROOM WITH KING SIZE DOUBLE BED AND A FULLY TILED SHOWER AND WC ROOM. THE RETREAT CAN ACCOMMODATE 2 ADULTS AND IS USUALLY LET ON A WEEKLY BASIS, HOWEVER, "LAST MINUTE" SHORT/WEEKEND BREAKS ARE AVAILABLE.

    Getting there from the Information Centre:- From Aviemore Tourist Information Centre, travel north along the main street, passing all the shops and the church on the right hand side. Strathspey House is located on the right shortly after the War Memorial. It's a 5-10 minute walk or 2 minute drive away. Private parking via the side road, Kinveachy Gardens.

    Getting There by Railway:- Aviemore Railway Station is on the Inverness - Perth/Edinburgh/Glasgow line. From the station, walk north along the main street 5-10 minutes. Strathspey House is on the same side of the main street a the station. Alternatively, there is a taxi service stance outside the railway station - taxi journey time 2 minutes.

    Getting there by Aeroplane:- From Inverness Airport, take the A9 south to Aviemore - distance of 30 miles, about 40 minutes drive. Strathspey House is located on the main street to the north end of the village, private parking accessed via the side road, Kinveachy Gardens.

    For larger airports, Glasgow and Edinburgh are 150 and 125 miles away respectively. Car journey times north to Aviemore less than 3 hours from Glasgow and 2 hours from Edinburgh.
