    Situated at the foot of the Pentland hills overlooking the City of Edinburgh. The city Centre is a 15 minute drive away, or 20 minutes by bus.


    Swanston Farm Holiday Cottages were skilfully renovated from an old farm steading into, six beautiful cottages back in 2001. They are set at the foot of the Pentland hills on the 700 acre farm, looking over the breathtaking city of Edinburgh.

    At Swanston you will find something for everyone. On your door step, you have two golf courses, horse riding, hill walking in the Pentlands, exploring the historic Swanston Village (which was once home to Robert Louis Stevenson) and of course the wonderfully mouth watering, Swanston Brasserie.

    If you enjoy the faster pace of life, we are only 5 miles from the absorbing centre of Edinburgh, where you can enjoy the shopping, historical site seeing, museums, cinemas, bars and restaurants or even just relax in Princes Street gardens.


    ‘’The Coach House’’ – Lovely, spacious, 3 bedroom cottage which sleeps 8. It has one double en-suite room with one double bed and two twin rooms with single beds – Perfect for a family get away.


    ‘’Caerketton’’ - This homely cottage consists of, one double room with double bed and one twin room with two single beds.


    ‘’Byerside’’ - This homely cottage consists of, one double room with double bed and one twin room with two single beds.


    ‘’Stotfold’’ - This cosy cottage has one double room with a double bed. Prefect, for a romantic breaks for two.


    ‘’Todhole’’ - This comfortable cottage had one double room, one twin room with two single bunk beds and a extra downstairs toilet.


    ‘’Shearie- Knowe’’ – This comfortable cottage had one double room, one twin room with two single bunk beds and an extra downstairs toilet.


    All of our cottages are equip with a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, TV/DVD player, Cooker and oven, microwave, and toaster, there is also a sofa bed in each cottage in the case of the extra guests. Each cottage has one parking space allocated to them in the court yard. Todhole and Shearie-Knowe have a second space at the back of the cottage.
