Afton, Barmore Road, Tarbert, Argyll, PA29 6TW

Welcome to Tarbert Castle View self catering house - flexible accommodation for up to 9 guests; just book as many rooms as you need.

Stay for a week, a long weekend or enjoy a mid week break; the choice is yours!

You can help us to be the best self catering house in Tarbert - whether you're walkers, cyclists, sailors, families or friends visiting the area, with children or pets - we want to provide the accommodation which meets your specific requirements. Just let us know what you need and we will try to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, so that you'll stay with us again and again - and again!

We offer a traditional Highland two storey terraced town house, situated on the pretty waterfront, with local craft shops, galleries, cafes, restaurants and pubs easily reached from our doorstep. There are stunning but easy walks around the harbour, the modernised marina or along the coastline paths to quiet bays. Prominent on the hillside is Robert the Bruce's castle, steeped in history but still the focal point of the village.

Walking, golfing, horse riding, fishing and wildlife are all easily accessible, as are ferries to the Islands of Gigha, Islay and Arran.
The upstairs lounge and both front facing bedrooms have picturesque views over the harbour, bustling with fishing boats and pleasure craft. The castle view provides a romantic backdrop or an invitation to take leisurely or challenging walks; depending on your mood. This room has TV, DVD, CD/radio, books and board games.

We have three generously proportioned and freshly decorated bedrooms (one ensuite) which give the flexibility of double or single beds to suit individuals, couples, families or groups. Guests can reserve the house with one, two or all three bedrooms available for use as required and each room can cope with an extra bed if required; please apply for special rates.

The bright dining kitchen comfortably seats six and overlooks the garden. It is fitted with an electric oven & hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge freezer and washing machine, as well as all the usual crockery etc.

Downstairs there is a family bathroom with electric shower (over bath) and an en-suite wc & shower room through from the garden bedroom. Upstairs the toilet also has a corner shower cubical.

The house has wooden flooring throughout and has full electric central heating.

There is free on street parking at the house.

Why not relax in the large garden at the rear of the house where you can enjoying excellent views over the harbour or perhaps make use of the BBQ area.

We provide all bedroom and kitchen linen and towels.

The house is usually booked Saturday to Saturday but long weekends or mid week stays are also available - we are flexible, please contact us to discuss your booking!
