The site is located in the quiet and pretty village of Tarland.
Tarland be Deeside has been popular with royalty ever since Queen Victoria chose the area for her home at Balmoral in the 1850s and it remains the Queens's summer residence. Our Club Site shares the same spectacular scenery and Balmorals estate grounds, gardens and Castle Ballroom are open to visitors during the summer. For a more traditional experience you can also enjoy the attractions of Tarland village, just a five-minute walk from site. It has shops, a bowling green and gold course and is a good starting point for walks with open views towards Mount Keen, Lochnagar and Morven. There are lots of local walking trails and the old railway line between Abooyne and Ballster is a good cycle route.
