Set in lovely peaceful Glen Cloy yet close to leisure facilities , bars , restaurants, and ferries, we offer modern , comfortable rooms with every facility for your stress free break ,and a delicious freshly cooked breakfast using our own free range eggs. Set against the hillside in tranquil Glen Cloy, The Barn offers a peaceful base for your relaxing holiday on the beautiful Isle of Arran, yet a choice of leisure and dining facilities are only a ten minute walk away.
We have two bedrooms to choose from ,both overlooking rolling hills and countryside and across to the Scottish mainland over the Firth of Clyde.One room has a double bed ,and ensuite shower room . The other has a kingsize bed and ensuite bathroom with both bath and shower.Both rooms can accommodate an extra child or adult please ask for details.

Following a restful nights sleep we offer a tasty breakfast,including fresh fruit, yogurts,and of course a choice of cooked items using local produce and our own organic free range eggs - you can even meet the hens !

A lounge with log fire in season is available for relaxing.

We have storage for bicycles, fishing and walking gear, and drying facilities should some of Arrans liquid sunshine appear.

Packed lunches, filled flasks,laundry facilities , all available on request.



The Island

The Isle of Arran is just a 55 minute sail from the Scottish mainland , and the feeling of 'getting away from it all' starts as soon as you board the boat.The Island is often referred to as 'Scotland in miniature'
offering diverse and dramatic scenery, from the high peaks of the North to the gentle pastureland of the South. There are beautiful beaches , ancient standing stones and castles , and a wide variety of wild life ,including eagles , deer, seals , red squirrels, and dolphins.
