    SHORT BREAKS AVAILABLE Noddsdale is a B Listed Country House, in the Arts and Crafts style, just outside Largs. Set in mature grounds, it has 2 luxurious and beautifully appointed holiday apartments in peaceful surroundings.

    The Bell Loft is 4 star and has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, both with showers, accommodating up to 5. The East Wing is 3 star with 1 bedroom and bathroom and can sleep up to 4 people with the use of a double sofabed. The Bell Loft used to be the servants' quarters and has been sympathetically renovated in 2008/09 to provide high quality holiday accommodation. It is on the first floor and is accessed by a flight of stairs. It has its own front door.

    The East Wing is on the first floor of the original farm buildings, which were converted in the 1920s to form a guest wing. With its own front door, entry is by a flight of ten steps, which makes these properties unsuitable for anyone who is disabled or for young children.

    Noddsdale is a special place to recharge the batteries or explore the area to your hearts content.  The beds are really comfortable and all bedding is allergy friendly with 100% British Wool duvets, pillows from The Wool Room and 100% cotton bedlinen with a high thread count to give you the best sleep - warm in winter and cool in summer. 

    Noddsdale is two miles from Largs and within an hour of Glasgow and Prestwick airports. Ferries to Cumbrae, Bute and Arran are nearby and the paddle steamer Waverley offers trips on the Clyde in July and August. There are several golf courses close by.

    Nearby are Kelburn Castle and Country Park, with Burns Country and Loch Lomond within driving distance, as are Culzean Castle and Turnberry.

    Children welcome 10 years and over. Sorry no pets.

    Road Directions

    From North take M8/A8/A78 to Largs. From South take A78 and from East take A737/A760. Proceed to the North end of the Esplanade and turn into Douglas Street at the signs for Brisbane Glen Road and National Sports Centre. Follow the road into Brisbane Glen past Kilburn Water on the left and the cemetery on the right. Once past the restriction signs take the third entrance on the right marked Private Road and drive up the hedge lined avenue - Noddsdale House is at the top.

    Public Transport Directions

    Getting there by railway:- From Largs Railway Station, turn left down to the seafront. Proceed to the North end of the Esplanade. Turn right in to Douglas Street at the signs for Brisbane Glen Road and the National Sports Centre. Follow the road into Brisbane Glen, past Kilburn Water on the left and the cemetery on the right. Once past the restriction signs take the third entrance on the right marked Private Road and drive up the hedge lined avenue - Noddsdale House is at the top.

    Getting there by aeroplane:- From Prestwick Airport travel to Largs on A78. Travel down Largs Main Street towards seafront. Follow seafront to the North end of Esplanade. Turn right up Douglas Street, and travel 1 & 1/2 miles to third house on the right after de-restriction sign marked Private Road. Follow hedge lined avenue to house at the top.
