The Bullock Shed, The Stable & The Factor's House

Ri Cruin is situated in Kilmartin Valley just a mile south of the village of Kilmartin.

The house and steadings were built in about 1850. About 70 sheep are now kept and in spring there are often pet lambs to feed. Sandy is a fisherman as well and in season fresh lobster, crab, prawns and clams can be supplied to order

Original beams and coombed ceilings have been retained in both houses, which also have garden and ample parking for two cars. . Both houses have full double-glazing, total control electric central heating and wide screen colour T.V with free to view satellite channels, video and CD player. The Kitchens are modern and contain washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, gas cooker and microwave.

THE BULLOCK SHED stands alone and sleeps four. A sun porch leads into the open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area. The Bathroom has a hip bath/shower tub and electric shower. Stairs lead to the two Bedrooms (one double, one twin)

THE STABLE is in the front wing of the main house and sleeps six. On the ground floor are an Entrance Hall, Lounge with focal point fire, Dining Kitchen, double Bedroom and Shower Room. Upstairs are two further Bedrooms (one double, one twin), a Bathroom with bath, shower cabinet and WHB and a separate toilet.

THE FACTOR'S HOUSE is a large Self Catering house ideal for family get-togethers or holidays with friends as it sleeps 8 plus 2 in four bedrooms.

Kilmartin Valley is steeped in pre-history. Neolithic burial cairns and standing stones abound and the house takes its name from Ri Cruin Cairn which is situated just in front of the main house. There is plenty of opportunity for outdoor activities - horse-riding, golf, sailing, sea and river fishing, hill-walking and bird-watching are all possibilities. Kilmartin village has a church, hotel, shop and post office and restaurant and Lochgilphead is only 8 miles away. Oban, from where one can embark on Caledonian MacBrayne ferries to many island destinations is 30 miles away. Inveraray, Crinan, the Mull of Kintyre and Loch Awe are also within easy reach
