Our self-catering Croft features dry stone walls, flagstone flooring and a turf roof, authentic and original antiques and artwork, beautiful furniture all blended discreetly with state of the art electronic entertainment facilities. Set in 11 acres of gardens and wildlife reserve we also overlook the Unesco World Heritage Sites including:

The Byre at Heddle is exceptional ground floor one bedroom croft accommodation, suitable for 1 or 2 people.
Features
Burnished antique furniture, beautiful art and attention to detail create a deeply relaxing quality, taking you a hundred of years away from the strains of modern life.
The bedroom is a king size double with farmhouse tongue and groove pine interior and country style pine furniture.
The stunning sitting room includes:

The exquisite wet room has an gloriously invigorating drench shower. Flooring is a beautiful mixture of traditional flagstones and porcelain ceramic tiles.
Underfloor heating provides luxury and comfort throughout.
The kitchen has a complete range of sleek modern appliances and high quality cookware.

The main TIC is in the centre of Kirkwall with the Cathedral on your right.
Turn left (compulsory) at the Clydesdale Bank and turn right at the next cross-roads. (Ford dealer on your right). Continue past the Post Office and after 200m you come to T-junction with a small round-about. Take the first exit road to the left.
Keep on this road, past the Peedie Sea on your left and after a few hundred yards cross straight over another small roundabout, (second exit) past the HIE garage on your left and continue signposted to Finstown.
This is about seven miles straight along the A965. Enter Finstown and after a few hundred yards look out for the Cementry on your left followed by a Builders Yard called Allans of Gillock also on your left.
Turn left immediately past this yard into Heddle Road. Drive up the Hill of Heddle and past the Quarry at the top on your right. Drive over the Hill and down the other side for half a mile. You have arrived.
