The Coach House

Converted coach house built in 1860 located next to an established Bed and Breakfast. The property is a 5 minute walk from the centre of the coastal town of Helensburgh which has many seafront restaurants, bars and shops.

A one minute walk from the Coach House leads you to the waterside and beach with stunning views of the Clyde estuary and the Cowal peninsular with its mountain scenery. The buidling itself has recently been renovated to a high standard. It includes features such as a roll top bath and living flame gas fire. The living room, kitchen and bathroom are all soon to be featured in a national interior magazine. Complimentary wine and fruit are provided on arrival. The property sleeps 2-4 people.

Ideally located for touring and situated on the edge of The National Park. The western shore of Loch Lomond is 4 miles away (approx. 10 min drive) also convinient for Loch Lomond Golf Course, home of the Scottish Open (approx. 15 min drive). The centre of Glasgow is a 45 minute drive or train journey. Helensburgh itself with its broad tree lined streets sweeping down to the river Clyde is home to The Hill House now in the care of the National Trust for Scotland. It is widely regarded as the finest domestic masterpiece of internationally renowned architect Charles Rennie Macintosh.
The property has the living room, kitchen and bathroom situated on the ground floor with a staircase leading up to the two bedrooms. The first bedroom has one double bed the other two single beds.

The kitchen is well equipped with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and filter coffee machine. There are a number of kitchen utensils to satisfy even the keenest of chefs. There is also a dining table that seats four people. A complimentary bottle of wine, fruit bowl and cleaning products are provided on arrival.

The garden for the Coach House can be accessed from the kitchen door. This has a raised seating area with table, chairs and parasol for four, a swing seat and mature shrubs and trees. There is also a drying area.

The bathroom is traditional in style with wood panelling, chic retro tiles and a roll top bath with shower. It also has a traditional style heated towel rail. Towels are provided on arrival, as are complimentary toiletries. Fresh towels can be provided during your stay by arrangement.

The living room is at the front of the house. It features a leather sofa and 2 period style chairs. The room has a television, DVD player, digital tv reciever and a CD player with radio. Additionally there are a selection of books, DVD's and board games.

The room also features a living flame gas fire perfect for cosy winter nights.

The bedrooms upstairs are light and airy with original beams and farmhouse style doors decorated in rich creams and duck egg blues. The first bedroom has a double bed, built in wardrobe, chest of drawers and flat screen tv with digital receiver.

The second bedroom has two single beds, wicker 2-seater sofa, wardrobe, chest of drawers and flat screen tv with digital receiver.

All bed linen is provided and both bedrooms have hairdryers.

On street parking is at the front of the building with plenty of free space. The Coach House is on a level location with the town centre. The nearest shop is a two-minute walk and is open from 6.00am until midnight seven days a week. It has a large selection of fresh produce and groceries.

The property is fully centrally heated and all heating and electricity is included.

Children are very welcome. Cots and highchairs are available on request.

Pets are also welcome by prior arrangement please.

The Coach House is open all year round including Christmas and New Year. Short breaks are also available.

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation. The remaining balance is then payable 4 weeks befor your arrival date.
