The Cottage is a traditional stone cottage set on the shore of Loch Shieldaig in the picturesque village of Shieldaig in the North-West Highlands of Scotland.
The Cottage has recently been renovated and extended to a high standard to provide a comfortable holiday home sleeping six. It has oil-fired central heating and a multi-fuel stove in the sitting room. Telephone and wireless broadband Internet connection are provided.
The property is on the waterfront and boats can be launched from the nearby jetty. There is an enclosed front garden and extensive rear gardens.
Surrounded by the Torridon Mountains this is the perfect position for those visitors who enjoy outdoor activities on sea or land. The photographic opportunites are extensive for those who have more leisurely interests.
Please note that we take weekly bookings from Sunday to Sunday.

This is a beautiful remote area with spectacular scenery and many opportunities for outdoor activities. The Torridon Mountains offer excellent walking and climbing for all abilities.
The Cottage is conveniently situated at the southern end of the village which has many useful facilities. There are two small shops, an hotel with restaurant and an attached bar which also serves meals. Inverness is only 90 minutes away with excellent road , rail and air connections to the rest of the UK.
If you just want to relax in this beautiful area The Cottage provide a very comfortable home from home.
The accommodation consists of:
Entrance Porch and Hall.
Large kitchen/dining room - fully equipped with electric hob and oven, microwave oven and dishwasher. There is an large American style fridge/freezer with ice maker and water dispenser.
Utility Room with washing machine, tumble drier and pulley drier. Boiler supplying heating and hot water.
Downstairs cloakroom with shower.
Large sitting room with satellite TV, video and DVD player. There is a multi fuel stove. Leading from this is an additional garden room with CD player and french doors to the rear gardens.
Good supply of maps, books, games, puzzles and videos/DVD s.
Master bedroom with super-king bed and ensuite shower room with underfloor heating. Satellite TV.
Large bedroom with 3 full-size single beds .
Small single bedroom.
All bedrooms have stunning views across Loch Shieldaig.
Family bathroom with antique clawfoot bath and underfloor heating. Views of Ben Shieldaig.
There is ample storage in the bedrooms and all bedlinen and towels are provided.
The house is equipped to a very high standard throughout.
All fuel is supplied.
There is a telephone in the Hall and Master bedroom and UK landline calls are free.
The house has a wi-fi network for internet access - bring your own laptop. There are internet radios in the kitchen and master bedroom.
The enclosed front garden with picnic bench borders the stony beach.
There is a rear patio with garden furniture and extensive terraced gardens. A small burn runs throught the rear garden approximately 20 metres from the house.
