Creggans Inn is an award-winning, family-run hotel and offers the perfect retreat for the discerning guest. Each of our bedrooms has been individually decorated and has its own character, ideal for relaxing and unwinding in. Many feature breathtaking views over Loch Fyne.
The hotel boasts two dining options; MacPhunn's Bar & Restaurant where you can enjoy an extensive bistro style menu or for an extra special dining experience, our award-winning 2 AA Rosette Loch Fyne Dining Room is a must! The very best seasonal ingredients are carefully chosen and presented with precision and flair on our daily changing menu.
The Creggans Inn has a wonderful history, MacPhunns Bar, our traditional bar is named after 'half hung Archie' MacPhunn the sheep stealer who after being hung in Inverary for murder, was revived by a dram. He is buried in the local cemetery. Previous owners of The Creggans Inn were Sir Fitzroy and Lady MacLean who attracted the rich and famous of the day.
Highly accessible, Strachur is perfectly located on the west coast of Scotland as a touring centre. There's lots to see and do, from visiting castles and galleries, gardens and islands, to walking the hills, watching the wildlife, fishing, boating and much more.
Sometimes, however, it's just a luxury to curl up in a comfortable lounge with a good book, looking up now and again to drink in the gorgeous view and revel in the peace and quiet. Words cannot describe the countryside around The Creggans Inn, it's an ever changing vista and one which continues to entrance and delight the eye.
The MacLellan Family extend a warm welcome to all visitors to The Creggans Inn.
