Welcome to The Dairy at Daviot. A converted 19th century farm steading offering luxury self catering accommodation set on a private estate in the spectacular Highlands of Scotland.
Run by a 4th generation farming family, The Dairy's idyllic countryside setting close to the cosmopolitan City of Inverness, gateway to the Highlands with its excellent road, rail and air links, makes The Dairy the perfect place to explore the area's wealth of attractions, outdoor activities and breathtaking scenery.
Our six luxuriously appointed cottages are arranged around the original cobbled courtyard and all of the cottages offer views onto the surrounding fields, woodlands, farm animals and wildlife.
As you approach The Dairy whatever the season you will be filled with a sense of tranquility and anticipation eager to explore at your leisure. A warm welcome awaits you on arrival we meet you personally and show you to your accommodation enabling us to share enough information to get your stay off to the best possible start. We are always close by to help during your stay.
Whether you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday, a romantic break, a walking holiday exploring the staggeringly beautiful Highland scenery on foot or looking to take advantage of the numerous and diverse golf courses in the area The Dairy is the ideal place for you to stay.
The Dairy is ideal for an action packed family holiday with plenty to choose from, perhaps a spot of bottlenose dolphin-watching, a visit to the Highland Wildlife centre or take in some of the numerous castles in the area, Cawdor Castle near Inverness, Urquhart Castle overlooking Loch Ness and there is always the new Culloden Battlefield visitor centre to explore. Our child friendly cottages offer the use of travel cots, highchairs, stair gates and we have an outdoor play area. For family parties with more than two children, Simmental, Guernsey and Jersey can accommodate a Z-bed in the twin bedroom for a third child. We welcome well behaved dogs in our Holstein and Ayrshire cottages.
Why not start your day with a leisurely breakfast or brunch in our Dairy Cafe. Charlotte and Jeremy look forward to welcoming you and hope you feel by the end of your stay you have made new friends. You can also enjoy a freshly brewed coffee whilst reading the papers or a sumptuous afternoon tea with home baking after an energetic hike. Or try the Sunday carvery a must for anyone who likes a hearty home cooked roast with all the trimmings. The Cafe can also provide homemade dishes to take away and enjoy in the cosy comfort of your apartment. Free Wi-Fi internet access is also available.
Take in a spectacular sunset whilst enjoying a chilled glass of wine at our outside tables or simply make use of our BBQ facilities on a balmy summer evening.
All cottages feature two ensuite bedrooms and are made up as one super king sized double and one twin bedroom. Simmental, Guernsey and Jersey offer spacious open plan living and kitchen/dining area whereas Ayrshire, Friesian and Holstein have a separate living room and kitchen/dining room. All cottages have a downstairs WC and storage cupboard. Electric wall and storage heaters provide total control and keep the cottages warm and cosy. Fully equipped with crockery, cutlery and cookware, Whirlpool oven and electric hob, microwave, fridge-freezers, dishwashers, combined washing machine/tumble dryer, digital flat screen TVs with integrated Freeview and DVD players, digital radio and iPod docking stations, hairdryers, fluffy towels, luxury Egyptian cotton bed linen and Au Lait toiletries.
Wi-Fi internet access is available in all our cottages.
All guests enjoy special, subsidised rates for the use of the nearby Kingsmills Hotel Leisure facilities in Inverness.
