Cottage (White one)

The village of Craobh Haven is a small community comprising only about 30 houses on the North Shore of the Craignish Peninsular opposite Shuna Island on the beautiful West Coast of Scotland.

There is a busy 200 berth marina and chandlery with yachts coming and going throughout the year. The village has a very well stocked store and the local pub and restaurant, 'The Lord of the Isles' producing excellent dining and bar meals for all of the family.

There are many things to do in and around the village without the need to drive anywhere if you don't want to .
This part of Scotland has plenty of ruined and habited castles and many sites of architectural and historical interest to visit. Kilmartin house, just south from the cottage, houses an archaeology centre.

Oban is about 18 miles North of Craobh Haven and has most of the ferry routes and daily boat trips to the Isles.

Mull, which has many popular tourist attractions-Miniature steam railway, distillery, Tobermory and more, can easily be explored within a day from the cottage by taking the ferry from Oban, as can Iona and Jura.

Argyll is renowned for its many fine gardens such as Crarae Garden, and just 5 mins from the cottage on the way to Oban is Arduaine Gardens.

There are many places to eat within a few miles including the 'Lord of the Isles' pub and restaurant within the village of Craobh Haven, and the Loch Melfort Hotel just 5 minutes away beside Arduaine Gardens.

Within a short drive there are many more places of interest including Loch Awe, Oban Marine, Seal centre, Rare Breeds Farm, Inverary Jail, Inverary Castle, Argyll Wildlife Park, Auchindrain Township Museum.

There is good fishing available around the coast or in nearby lochs and rivers. Boat trips can be organised to the 'Corrievreckan' - the largest whirlpool in Europe and to the surrounding islands where seals, otters and possibly corncrakes can be seen.

Mountain bike trails, Watersports, Horse riding and Golf are all at hand.

For horse enthusiasts there is a BHS approved Ardfern Riding Centre offering Trekking, Western Riding and Hacking on Appaloosa horses. Organised boat trips are available on the motor launch Farsain from the Marina.
There are many spectacular walks from the doorstep of the cottage and it is also possible to walk to the village of Ardfern which boasts the popular pub 'The Galley of Lorne', a yachting marina and 'The Crafty Kitchen' cafe.

One complimentary breakfast per week. Quote 'Autumn White breakfast'
