The Dulaig is the only 5-Star Gold B&B in the Cairngorms National Park and is also recommended in The Good Hotel Guide. In addition we have a Gold Award for Environmental Management under the Green Tourism Business Scheme.
Here you can view beautiful wildlife, including Red Squirrels and birds, whilst you enjoy excellent service and the best of Scottish Highland hospitality in a stunning, elegant country house. Delicious food (home-made, home-grown and local produce, and beautiful eggs from our own free range Black Rock hens)"....and The Cake Fairy visits every day!
Perfect for a relaxed romantic break, a base for an activity holiday or simply for chilling out and unwinding, The Dulaig is also our home. It is set in a beautifully peaceful situation in large private gardens adjoining open countryside and with easy access to beautiful country walks, yet is only a few minutes walk from Grantown-on-Spey Main Street. Designed by Alexander Marshall Mackenzie - the architect of buildings such as Crathie Church and The Waldorf in London - the house was built in 1910 and is now styled in a luxurious, tasteful blend of modern furnishings and Arts and Crafts antiques.
We have three beautifully appointed bedrooms of which two can be let at any one time. All have fine linens, luxury en suites (one with slipper bath and one with whirlpool bath) and a range of extras such as Satellite TV, DVD, silent fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, fluffy towels, hairdryer and luxury toiletries. Two of our rooms can be made up with either superking or twin beds. Guests often tell us that our Vi-Spring beds are the most comfortable beds they have ever slept in!
As experienced hill-walkers we are happy to provide maps and ideas for walks and have facilities for drying clothing and equipment. Tasty packed lunches are available too.
Wi-Fi and a PC with free Internet access are available for use.
Extensive private parking.
