Overview
The Farmers Inn is a cosy property with motel-style bedrooms, housed in a modern self-contained annexe. Each room has its own front door which enables guests to come and go as they please - particularly useful if you are returning late from a wedding at nearby Comlongon Castle or if you are up and about early, to go fishing or birdwatching. The comfortable rooms are all well-equipped with en suite facilities, and there is a selection of sizes including single, twin, double or family spaces.Only 20 minutes away from the M74 and M6 and easily accessible from the A75,The Farmers Inn makes a great place to stay if you need to stop off on your way further north. Lying 9 miles south east of Dumfries and close to the coast of the Solway Firth, the village of Clarencefield is well placed for the attractions of the area. Magnificent Caerlaverock Castle is just a few miles away, as is the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust reserve at Caerlaverock - one of Scotland's top attractions for birdwatchers.
