Enclosed within a stunning Mediterranean-style courtyard with exotic palms and beautiful flowers, the Garden House has been beautifully decorated and furnished with unique art and crafts. Designed by renowned local artists Geoff and Jenny Finch, who also run Dalton Pottery Art Cafe just across the road, the work helps create an inspiring interior full of light, colour, and textures. All of the furnishings, fittings, bathroom and kitchen appliances are new and of the highest standard. The homely lounge has a large flat screen digital TV/DVD player, luxurious leather corner sofas and a cosy wood burning stove - perfect for curling up in front of during chiller evenings. The modern open-plan kitchen and dining room offers a bright and airy space for enjoying a meal, and upstairs each of the homely bedrooms guarantee a comfortable night's rest.
The wide gravel drive is big enough for several cars to park and turn in and the beautiful mature gardens with their enclosed football and games pitch, a summerhouse, outside patio with seating and barbecue is perfect for making the most of the long summer days. The property is completly detatched and private and sits on its own plot of nearly an acre.
Just across the road at the Dalton Pottery Art Cafe, you can enjoy delicious home baking and pottery painting. We also have an apartment here sleeping up to six people, and both properties are perfect bases for Gretna or Comlongon Castle wedding guest accommodation.
This is also an ideal base for exploring the delights of the Dumfries & Galloway countryside with several excellent golf courses, great birdwatching at Caelaverock Nature Reserve and glorious forest cycle trails, costal walks, castles, parks and gardens nearby. Spend a day exploring the magnificent Caerlaverock Castle, meeting the friendly animals at Mabie Farm Park and see how delicious ice cream is made at Cream o' Galloway..
