The Hirsel on Skye offers charming self-catering accommodation in the tranquil village of Ord, nestled on the shores of Loch Eishort in south Skye. The cottage has stunning views across the loch to the Cuillins and Blà Bheinn and is only a gentle two-minute stroll to Ord bay with its sandy beach.

Welcome to the Hirsel, a modern and cosy home located in Ord, one of Skye’s most tranquil and scenic villages, nestling above the shores of Loch Eishort overlooking the magnificent Cuillin Hills. The Hirsel is open all year allowing visitors to experience this unique part of Skye through all four changing seasons.

Ord is the ideal centre for all types of holidays with a wide range to see and do and is just a short distance from the Skye Bridge, the Mallaig-Armadale ferry and local shops and restaurants. From the comfort of your armchair the views from the Hirsel are spectacular, across the sea-loch to the Cuillin mountains and Blaven or even just watching our resident bird-life feeding in the garden. Ord is justifiably famous for its sunsets, perhaps the best in Scotland, from the 'balls of fire' out over the Minches towards Rhum and Canna in the winter to the 'fire in the sky' across the Cuillin ridges in the summer.

With so much to see and do a week or two will never be long enough, but you will be assured of a wonderful holiday and return 'to your other life' feeling invigorated and refreshed. Come and stay a while and experience it for yourself!
