Getting there by rail
Edinburgh Waverley Station is about a 15 minute walk from the apartment, or a few minutes in a taxi. If you are walking take the Calton Road exit out of the station, turn left on Calton Road and go up under the bridge, down Leith Street which takes you onto Leith Walk (street signs on Leith Walk, Picardy Pl, Antigua St, Haddington Pl). Take the fourth left turn (Union St, and Gayfield Sq are the first three) off Leith Walk, this is Annandale Street, continue down Annandale St until you reach the roundabout, here turn right onto Hopetoun Crescent, half way around the crescent, turn left into the Hopetoun village development, down the steps, and follow the path straight ahead. At the end of the path, staying in the development, cross over the road at the bend, keep to the footpath, and you will notice the first building facing you is Number 79 - the Bield Housing offices, next to that is number 81, then you will see a name plate for 83/3 beside a small door that leads into the kitchen.  

Getting there by Aeroplane

Edinburgh Airport - many of the economy airlines fly here - Easyjet, Ryanair and Flybe.
If you take a taxi from the Airport to the apartment, you can expect the journey to take about 20 minutes and to cost approx GBP20.

There is a frequent Airport Shuttle Bus to Waverley Bridge which is a 15 minute walk to the apartment or a short Taxi ride. The Airlink bus  takes about 30 minutes and costs aprox GBP6 for a return ticket. After you get off the bus, walk back up Waverley Bridge onto Princes St, turn right on Princes St and head east towards the Balmoral Clock Tower, the apartment is 0.9 miles from here, about a 15 minute walk. Cross over Princes Street at the Balmoral Clock, continue to walk along to the end of Princes St (10 metres or so), just before Princes St becomes Waterloo Place, follow the road as it turns left and go down Leith St, (passing St James Centre and John Lewis), which takes you onto Leith Walk (street signs on Leith Walk, Picardy Pl, Antigua St, Haddington Pl).
