The Knowe Guest House

Overview

For the past twenty-five years it has been a Guesthouse providing bed and breakfast to travellers from all over the world.

We are situated in Rob Roy country beneath the famous Crags which overlook Callander, Gateway to the Highlands. We enjoy truly magnificent views over the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, an area famous for walking, cycling, fishing and many other outdoor pursuits as well as the natural beauty of its lochs and glens.

All accommodation in the Knowe is both spacious and comfortable, comprising one suite and three en suite rooms. In addition to the usual 4 star facilities found in other B&B establishments, all of our rooms have fridges, safes and TVs with integral DVD's and Premier Sky channels.

Our dining room has French doors leading onto a substantial terrace with south facing gardens and unrestricted views over the surrounding countryside. For breakfast we offer a wide selection of fresh fruits/berries, yoghurts and cereal in addition to a choice of cooked dishes.

We have a private car park with a secure indoor area for the storage of bicycles or motorcycles. A two-minute walk down a pedestrian pathway will take you to the town centre.

Callander has a PGA golf course, open to non-members, (www.callandergolfclub.co.uk) which is only two hundred meters from the Knowe. A five-minute walk will take you to our superb leisure complex with all its wide-ranging activities. In a country famous for its castles the nearby City of Stirling has one of the best surviving examples whilst nearby stands the monument to Sir William Wallace, now immortalised in the film "Braveheart ".
