The Lodge, Glenelg

Overview

The Lodge is architect designed in a contemporary style with a private entrance and includes a sliding patio door from the living area leading to the covered sun deck.
The lodge is located on the edge of Glenelg village and is nestled by the beach where the sea can be heard lapping on the stones.

The picture windows look "over the sea to Skye" and down to the South West, towards the islands of Rhum and Eigg.

There is a private, dedicated garden area to the front with off road side parking. The single-track road runs from Shiel Bridge, over the Mam Ratagan pass, through the village of Glenelg, past The Lodge and onwards to the remote villages of Arnisdale and Corran.

The Lodge offers the opportunity to unwind in an area of the Scottish Highlands famous for hill walking, wildlife and spectacular scenery. Pop over to the Isle of Skye on the famous and historic Glenelg to Skye ferry, walk the beaches at Sandaig where author Gavin Maxwell lived in a lighthouse keeper's cottage with his otters and wrote "Ring of Bright Water" . You can head off hill walking or take a less energetic morning stroll wildlife watching for deer, dolphins, eagles, otters and the elusive pine martin.

In the evening wind down with a romantic dinner at the Glenelg Inn followed by a dram or three while sitting by the log fire. It's hard to beat!! The Inn and the village shop are only a 5 minute walk from The Lodge.

Since The Lodge was established in 2007 the accommodation and area has delighted guests, with many returning.
It's best not to leave things to the last minute, early booking is recommended! The lodge is open all year and although the daylight hours are fewer during the winter months the sight of morning frosts and mists rising over the land as dawn breaks, snow on the hill tops, the deepest blue skies and flat calm seas interspersed with the odd raging gale has a fascination all of it's own!

Take a break in Glenelg and come and see for yourself!!
