The Lodge

The Lodge (built in 1864) is an incredible Arts and Crafts style house and sits on the shores of Loch Goil.

We feel we have something quite unique here: The Lodge is no usual hotel, it is a private country house. At The Lodge there can be no other guests there during your stay other than
those people that you decide to bring with you. The house can be exclusively yours, if you so wish. Or if you prefer a secluded romantic break, we also offer luxury bed and breakfast. The only other people that will be there is us . . . and that's only because we're here to look after you.

Downstairs we have a lounge, large dining room, library, TV room and bar. Upstairs we have 7 bedrooms (all en-suite) and all named after a Scottish island. All rooms are of a very high standard and have their own unique character and feeling. We also have 2 large open log fires, one in the in the lounge and the other in the dining room.

We can accommodate up to 14 people in the main house and we have also have the Summerhouse which sits at the bottom of the garden, perched on the very edge of the loch shore, and sleeps 2. It is totally self-contained, so here you can be completely alone. With its wood-burning stove, bruised leather couch, soft woollen blankets and little shower room, it has everything you need.

The Lodge is the perfect place for your wedding, whether it's to be a small and intimate affair or something more lavish. The Lodge's own wedding co-ordinator can arrange everything for you, from flowers to entertainment to your wedding cake. We have space to erect two marquees on our lochside lawns with views over the water and hills and also have a stunning Treehouse, built in the huge Scots pine in the Lodge's garden, which is fully registered to host your marriage ceremony. The Summerhouse is the perfect place to spend your wedding night.

Conferences, team building exercises or corporate think tanks can all be held in the billiards room and we can provide all the IT equipment you need to help generate ideas. We can also arrange team-building exercises with our local outward-bound centre, for those of you that are looking to bring your workforce together. Far away from the distractions of the city, The Lodge provides the perfect home for creative minds.

The Lodge is a magical place. There are many activities that we can organise during your stay including quad biking, clay shooting, horse riding, fishing, falconry and mountain biking. From October to March, curling can be arranged at nearby Drimsynie
