Overview

You are assured of a warm and friendly welcome at The Mayfair.  This beautiful Victorian villa has been lovingly updated and has stunning views over the Firth of Clyde.

 All rooms offer en-suite facilities, TV, radio and hairdryer. Relax and enjoy our comfortable guest lounge where you may borrow books or just enjoy the wonderful view. We also have a games room with dartboard, pool and half-sized snooker tables, cards and games. Free wireless internet available in some parts of the house.

We provide a memorable breakfast with plenty of choice and using only the finest quality ingredients.

Our aim is for guests to want to return and to bring their friends.

Situated half-way between Dunoon and Hunters Quay ferry terminals and within easy walking distance of Dunoon town centre. The Mayfair is a perfect base for exploring the Cowal peninsular, Highlands and Islands.

The property has stunning sea views over the Clyde estuary and is within easy reach of The Isle of Bute (Rothesay), Inveraray and the world-renowned botanic gardens of Benmore.

It is possible to partake in a wide variety of activities in the Cowal area:

- walking, fishing, cycling and golf are all possible (the nearest golf course is only 5 minutes walk from the Mayfair)
- take a trip 'doon the watter' on the paddle-steamer Waverley
- explore some of Argyll's famous castles: Inveraray, Carrick, Mount Stuart and Newark to name just a few.
- marvel at the amazing feats on display at the world-famous Cowal Games (Cowal Highland Gathering)

All bed and breakfast accommodation is fully en-suite and many of the rooms have sea views.
