It is possible to partake in a wide variety of activities in the Cowal area:
- walking, fishing, cycling and golf are all possible (the nearest golf course is only 5 minutes walk from the Mayfair)
- take a trip 'doon the watter' on the paddle-steamer Waverley
- explore some of Argyll's famous castles: Inveraray, Carrick, Mount Stuart and Newark to name just a few.
- marvel at the amazing feats on display at the world-famous Cowal Games (Cowal Highland Gathering)
