The Old Farmhouse is a recently restored cartshed which has been very tastefully restored to provide a perfect place to spend a day or two in the wonderful East Lothian Countryside in a home from home location, with magnificent farmhouse breakfasts. A place of total peace and tranquility.
Right next door we have Redshill Cottage, a traditional farm cottage which provides all the comforts of home on a self catering basis. The cottage has its own enclosed garden, where your dog is most welcome, the choice is yours cook at home or eat out, enjoy a BBQ overlooking the picturesque Lammermuir Hills and neighbouring farmland. two spacious bedrooms sleeps 4.
Redshill is located in a peaceful rural location, just over one mile from the conservation village of Gifford where you will find two hotels with their own restaurants, a village shop and post office with a cash terminal, a newsagents, and a cafe. The market town of Haddington is six miles away, with many ammenities: sports centre, swimming pool,squash courst, tennis courts, supermarket, banks, post office, health centre, many independant shops.
East Lothian is a gourmet delight where you can eat some where different every night should you wish and never be disappointed.
Golfer's Paradise has often been the description of East Lothian, where there are numerous golf courses on offer all of which are less then a 30 minutes drive from Redshill. We even have a 9 hole course just at the end of the road at Gifford and a wonderful 18 hole course with driving range 2 miles away at Castle Park.
A thirty minute journey will take you to the bustle of Scotland's Capital Edinburgh, better still take the nearby Park and Ride where you can enjoy free parking and a trouble free journey to the city centre by train or bus. Edinburgh is steeped in history, a shoppers delight and an atmosphere second to none.
