Beautifully situated in a quiet rural location this substantial traditional property has recently been totally renovated to provide every modern convenience whilst retaining its original character, atmosphere and charm. The property has an efficient central heating system and rooms have been tastefully decorated and attractively furnished, with a spacious bright living room which has an open log fire to add to the ambience. The garden dining room has doors opening out to the attractive, secluded, colourful and well-maintained garden. Garden furniture is provided in the adjacent patio area for drinks and there is a barbecue for alfresco dining. The garden is sheltered and a sun trap in fine weather, and adjoins the surrounding hillside, with fine old large trees all round. There is a small unfenced stream running through the garden where care should be exercised with young children.
Grandtully and the adjacent village of Strathtay lie in magnificent wooded surroundings in the heart of Highland Perthshire close to the River Tay and its tumbling rapids. This is an area of outstanding natural beauty of valley, mountain, moorland and woods, where wildlife is abundant. There is a wealth of local activities including fishing, walking, field sports, climbing, cycling, golf, sailing and a variety of water sports. Grandtully village is within a 10 minutes walk, and there is a local hotel with restaurant and bar - the Riverside - as well as a characterful pub, the Tully. In addition there is a coffee shop, golf course and village shop, and antique shop. The larger centres of Aberfeldy and Pitlochry with a wider variety of shops and services lie within a 20 minute drive.
