The Old Schoolhouse comprises two luxury, self catering cottages, set within Balmaha in Loch Lomond National Park. The houses have been carefully restored and furnished to the highest standard with contemporary, luxurious furnishings. Each house has private, expansive, landscaped gardens, luxury, covered, shared hot tub and decked bbq area accessible from patio doors from the dining kitchen. Each house comprises:

A stylish, fully fitted, contemporary kitchen with a range cooker, integrated appliances and granite worktops, with a beautiful dining table, ideal for long, relaxed meals with friends and family.

A living room with a feature, natural, slate wall, large leather couches, converting to a sofa bed, stunning, natural, hardwood furniture and lots of hi-tech features including plasma tv, sky movies and sports, wi-fi and ipod dock.

Three bedrooms, all beautifully furnished with exceptionally comfortable beds. Indeed, guests have remarked that they enjoyed an exceptionally comfortable sleep in the luxury beds at The Old Schoolhouse.

Two bathrooms in stunning natural stone, with luxurious fittings and Egyptian cotton towels. Luxury dressing gowns and towels are provided on arrival.

A decked bbq area around the house with seating for eight, a natural suntrap from early morning till dusk.

Both houses booked together can comfortably sleep up to sixteen people.

Loch Lomond is a two minute drive or twenty minute walk from the house. The Loch is the biggest loch in the UK, surrounded by amazing mountains, including Ben Lomond. The views from the shores of Loch Lomond are breathtaking, and even more impressive from the peak of Ben Lomond, which can be climbed from Rowardenan, seven miles from The Old Schoolhouse. You can experience a piece of history by visiting Rob Roy's Cave near Inversnaid in the beautiful Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. Balmaha also offers fishing from the pier and regular boat trips to the nearby islands including Wallaby Island, home to Scottish only colony of Wallabies. You can boat from Milarrochy bay and cycle and walk along the nearby West Highland Way and Conich Hill. Nearby Balloch also boasts the sealife aquarium, an exciting new visiting centre (Loch Lomond Shores) and many shops and restaurants including Jenners, a famous Edinburgh department store offering everything from designer fashion to the food hall with the best of Scottish products.

Loch Lomond is the perfect base to visit several world famous, scottish golf courses including Loch Lomond, Gleneagles, St Andrews Old Course, Turnberry and Carnoustie. Local golf welcoming visitors include The Carrick, The Buchanan Castle Golf Club, Hilton Park Golf Club and The Vale of Leven Golf Club. The famous Loch Lomond golf course is only a twenty minutes drive from The Old Schoolhouse.
