You can experience a piece of history by visiting Rob Roy's Cave near Inversnaid in the beautiful Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. Balmaha also offers fishing from the pier and regular boat trips to the nearby islands including Wallaby Island, home to Scottish only colony of Wallabies. You can boat from Milarrochy bay and cycle and walk along the nearby West Highland Way and Conich Hill. Nearby Balloch also boasts the sealife aquarium, an exciting new visiting centre (Loch Lomond Shores) and many shops and restaurants including Jenners, a famous Edinburgh department store offering everything from designer fashion to the food hall with the best of Scottish products.
Loch Lomond is the perfect base to visit several world famous, scottish golf courses including Loch Lomond, Gleneagles, St Andrews Old Course, Turnberry and Carnoustie.
