Originally built in 1842, this B&B offers two comfortable double bedrooms and a single bedroom. All rooms are en suite, centrally heated, with TV, tea and coffee facilities and hairdryer. Free Wi-Fi internet access and parking are also available. A delicious Scottish breakfast is served in the morning between 8 and 9am. For evening meals The Steamboat Inn,in the village offers great food, a good selection of drinks and excellent hospitality.
The private beachside garden and summer house offer direct access to a beautiful quiet beach, where you can enjoy spectacular views of both Scottish and English shores - keep your eyes peeled for the resident porpoises which are regularly spotted in the bay from the bottom of the garden.
Nearby, enjoy excellent river, sea and loch fishing as well as first-class visitor attractions, picturesque walking and cycling routes and the close proximity to a wealth of wildlife and observation areas. A regular bus service connects the village to Dumfries and Dalbeattie and all of their attractions.
