Overview



The beautiful surrounding countryside is steeped in history and local tradition. There are numerous places of interest to visit including many National Trust properties and superb gardens. Ideal for exploring Royal Deeside, Coastal, Victorian, Castle and Whisky Trails.

Outdoor activities available locally are golf (including a driving range). cycling, gliding, pony trekking, canoeing, walking, skiing and fishing. Indoor swimming and sports facilities are available at Banchory and Aboyne.

Within easy travelling distance is the beautiful city of Aberdeen with an excellent choice of cinemas, theatres, art galleries, bowling, ice skating, beach front amusements, restaurants, pubs, clubs and shopping.
