The Rowantree Tavern is the perfect rest halt for any visit to Scotland being only a few minutes away from The Loch Lomond Gateway Centre and retail outlets at Loch Lomond Shores and Antartex, at the foot hills of the Grampian Mountains. Located in Balloch at the southern most tip of Loch Lomond, The Rowantree Tavern is easily accessible by road or rail being just 30 minutes North West of Glasgow.
Bev and Steve look forward to welcoming you soon.
The Rowantree Tavern dates back to the mid eighteen hundreds. Your hosts Bev Buchan and Steve Burns purchased the establishment in August 2010 and since taking over, The Rowantree Tavern has undergone a £30,000 refurbishment, turning the old function room into a Lounge Bar / Restaurant, introducing a varied food menu, re-decorating the public bar, tidying up the grounds and exterior, and converting the previously dilapidated first floor into Bed & Breakfast accommodation.
Recognised and accredited by the Scottish Tourist Board 'Eat Scotland' our motorsport themed Bar and Restaurant offers a tasty a la carte menu and daily specials with all food cooked and prepared on the premises using traditional Scottish receipes. A late night pizza and snack menu is also available. Continental breakfast is served in the Lounge from 8am. Free WiFi is available in the Bar and Lounge and there is a private car park to the rear of the building.
Rooms are available from £40 per night, and we have a Family room available which can sleep up to 4 people.
EatScotland Says:
The Rowantree Tavern is the hub of the local community and offers an all day menu of food in both bar and lounge, with the accent on home cooking. Staff are particularly helpful and friendly.
