The Station Master's House

The Station Master's House at Sanquhar Station has been restored to its former glory and then given the contemporary touches that complete a luxury break.

Our very special self-catering holiday accommodation, known as the Station Master's House, gives you a unique experience in this spacious detached house with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, light & bright living room, dining room & bespoke kitchen. The Station Master's House is the renovated Sanquhar Station building - with all the facilities you need for a luxury self-catering break in a beautiful area.

The building has been renovated and its unique character restored and our accommodation is as follows:

•Modern well-equipped kitchen with granite worktops and a dishwasher

•Stone flagged dining room (or loggia) seating six (or eight if needed) and created from the Station's light and airy waiting room space

•Cosy living room with a log burner, hardwood floor and plasma TV as well as a DVD player and plenty of books, magazines and board games

•Three beautiful bedrooms (two king-sized doubles and one twin - zippable to create a double)

•Three bathrooms - one en-suite with the master double bedroom, one as a family bathroom with a rolled top bath and one fully accessible WC and shower room.

•Utility room with boiler and drying rack, a garage and secure bike storage.

The single-level layout of the building and wider-than-normal doorways make the Station Master's House at Sanquhar Station ideal for those with disabilities.

There is a host of things to do and places to visit from your base in Sanquhar. The town is in the Upper Nithsdale valley in the Dumfries and Galloway region of southern Scotland and is an ideal base for all sorts of activities - from relaxing and refreshing to active and energetic.

7 Stanes - Ae
Regarded as one of the best of the 7 Stanes routes, is just over 20 miles south of Sanquhar and we're within easy driving distance of most of the other routes in this internationally-renowned mountain biking mecca.www.7stanes.gov.uk and www.7stanes.com are the best sources of online information.

Only time for 9 holes? The scenic Sanquhar Golf Club is less than a mile away & offers great views across the valley in all directions.
