This comfortable apartment is part of a terrace of fisherman’s cottages built in 1882 and overlooks the picturesque harbour of Port Seton and the magnificent Firth Of Forth. Bright and spacious, it has been restored and furnished to a high standard.
Rental is all inclusive with full central heating, excellent quality bedding, linen and towels, free parking and cycle storage. Our free wi-fi is rated by our visitors as consistently good . We welcome our guests with complementary tea, coffee, milk and homemade shortbread on arrival. A Scottish breakfast box may also be supplied for a first night’s stay.
Port Seton is a small coastal town, very traditional, and well served for self caterers with grocery shops, bakers, butcher and chemist. Step out the door and enjoy quiet walks along the shore, spot seals and cormorants in the harbour, discover our great local fish shops. Take a drive out and find secret beaches, historic castles and towns, famous golf courses and quality local produce and eateries. Or make the half hour journey to Edinburgh for the sights and the shops. The Borders, Fife and Stirling regions are all also easily discovered by day-trip.
Accommodation is all on the ground floor, with own front door and a small front garden, and comprises:
Living room: spacious living/dining room with TV/DVD and wifi internet, fireplace with electric stove, dining table with four chairs, day bed sleeping one or two;
Kitchen: with cooker/hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, washing machine/tumble drier, fridge/freezer and plentiful crockery/kitchen equipment;
Bedroom: with double bed, large chest of drawers and walk-in cupboard, hairdryer; sleeps two;
Bathroom: with bath, wc and basin.
Large cupboard: household equipment, inc. iron and ironing board.
RENTAL AND BOOKING
Rental for 2015 is from £300 to £460 per week. Short stays and single nights are available from £90. Lets may start and end on any day of the week and last minute enquiries are welcome. We are very flexible.
Children and pets are both welcome. Sorry no smoking. For cyclists and walkers we can provide secure storage for bicycles/equipment and extra drying facilities if needed.

From the nearest information centre:- From the Tourist Information Centre in North Berwick take the A198 coastal road west, continuing straight on the B1348 into Cockenzie and Port Seton. Once you pass the Co-op, turn right at the narrow cross-roads. The road then swings left beside Port Seton Harbour. Wemyss Place overlooks the grassy area slightly further on.
Getting there by railway:- Change at Edinburgh for Prestonpans. Port Seton is approximately 2 miles. There is no public transport link from the station but a TAXI may be called.
Getting there by aeroplane:- Our closest airport is Edinburgh, with a both a bus and tram service between the airport and the city (Bus no. 100) which takes about 30 minutes, and then from Edinburgh to Port Seton (Bus no. 26), another 50 minutes. Note: The bus must say Seton Sands as some 26 buses go a different route.
Catch the bus on Princes Street. Alight at Chalmers Church, Port Seton and walk down Manse Lane (which is opposite the church), turn right at the end and walk along Elcho Place until you reach us. (3 minute walk)
