The Townhouse Hotel

Overview

The Townhouse is managed by James Henderson; youngest son of Graham and Anne Henderson, and James's wife Elaine. Their aim is to provide friendly, personal attention for their guests and to promote the Food and Beverage aspect of the Hotel with the expertise of Head Chef Philip White using the best of produce from Scotland's natural larder.

The Townhouse accommodation consists of eleven en suite bedrooms ranging in size and facility. Our recently refurbished bedrooms are all individually designed and each is unique in its style and character. Rooms consist of superior, family and standard.

Guests can enjoy Lunch and Supper in the newly refurbished contemporary Bar / Bistro as well as the more formal surroundings of the Restaurant. Private Dining, Functions and Conference facilities are also available for up to 65 persons.

Relaxing and comfortable surroundings, first class food and traditional Scottish Borders Hospitality combine to make The Townhouse Hotel the prefect base for a peaceful break in The Scottish Borders. Visitors can enjoy Walking, Cycling, Golf and Horse Racing at Kelso Race Course. Fishing and Shooting can also be arranged. Visitor attractions within easy reach include Abbotsford, the former Home of Sir Walter Scott, Floors Castle, Bowhill, Priorwood Gardens, the 12th Century Melrose Abbey and Kailzie Gardens plus many more stately homes and Abbeys. If that sounds too exhausting, then why not relax, enjoy good food and wine, and sample one of the 120 Single Malt Whiskies that are available.
