    Set within the tranquil and magnificent surroundings of the crofting community of Staffin, located on the north-east coast of the Isle of Skye, the house boasts glorious views of the Quiraing and surrounding countryside.

    The Walker Family pride themselves on attention to detail and having taken many self-catering holidays themselves, they decided that Tigh Cilmartin would have everything that they and their guests would expect from a luxury holiday home, to ensure that every need is catered for and relaxation is paramount.

    After an exciting and invigorating day of exploring this magnificent Island, enjoy a wonderful night’s sleep in the super king-size beds, adorned with crisp cotton sheets and cosy duvets whilst relaxing to the tranquil sounds of the River Kilmartin outside your bedroom window.

    Extra care has been taken to ensure that guests will be comfortable whatever the weather, including a cosy wood burning stove with a plentiful supply of logs, central heating, a good supply of books and DVD’s and for when the sun is shining, a BBQ to enjoy in the grounds of this idyllic holiday home. There is also free wireless broadband available.

    Road Directions

    From Fort William
    Take the A82 towards Inverness. At Invergarry, turn left onto the A87 towards Kyle of Lochalsh and the Isle of Skye. Cross over the Skye Bridge and turn right at the roundabout, onto the A87 towards Broadford, Portree and Uig. It takes approximately 3 hours to drive from Fort William to Portree.
    From Portree to Staffin
    Travel north on the A855 towards Staffin. On entering Staffin, continue until you reach a sign on your left for 'Columba 1400'. Turn left after this sign, go past the Church and Tigh Cilmartin is at the end of the track. It takes approximately 25 minutes to drive from Portree to Staffin.

    Public Transport Directions

    Getting there by railway:- Trains operate between Inverness and Kyle of Lochalsh (nearest train station), where you can get a bus to take you onto the Isle of Skye.

    Getting there by aeroplane:- Inverness is Skye's closest airport and is approximately 3 hours drive from the airport to the House. Glasgow and Edinburgh airports are approximately 6 hours drive from the House. There are daily flights from London and Manchester to Inverness, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

    Getting there by ferry:- Caledonian MacBrayne operates ferries between Mallaig (mainland), to Armadale on Skye
    Skye Ferry - a privately run ferry operates during the Summer months between Glenelg (mainland) & Kylerhea on Skye.
