Two Bears Cottage - Gardenstown

Overview

Rising from the water's edge, the village of Gardenstown is built into sandstone cliffs which are a haven for sea birds and wildlife, not to mention panoramic views of Gamrie bay.

The cottage enjoys stunning sea views and beautiful evening sunsets from all front windows. Take an evening stroll, picnic on the beach or paddle in the sea, the choice is yours. For the less energetic, there is always the local public house serving evening meals or a relaxing drink, children are welcome.

The Moray Firth dolphins may be seen as they swim across the bay, as may a variety of other wildlife. Take your binoculars, as there is always plenty to see. Gardenstown harbour is home to local pleasure craft and small fishing boats. Lobsterpots and fishermen abound by the quayside. For the fisherman Gardenstown has lots to offer. You can fish from the harbour wall or from the beach. Sea fishing is available in Macduff as is river fishing on the river Deveron. Golfing is as much a part of Scotland as haggis and good whisky. Gardenstown is just 20 minutes from 2 superb golf courses; Duff House Royal Golf Club in Macduff with excellent golfing for the experienced and the novice golfer, and Royal Tarlair Golf Club has a cliff top course with dramatic scenery and unique challenges.

The Whisky Trail can be joined in Speyside which is home to more than half of Scotland's famous distilleries, Glenfiddich, Glenlivet, Strathisla, Cardhu and Glen Grant are but a few of the treasures waiting to be discovered.
