Located on the seafront, the stunning location of Ullapool Youth Hostel provides wonderful, ever-changing views over sea loch and mountain.
Ullapool is one of the prettiest fishing villages in the Highlands and has very good amenities for visitors including restaurants, bars, a leisure centre, swimming pool, museum and the Macphail Theatre. It’s easy to spend time in this vibrant Highland community with its regular music nights, festivals, cultural and arts events. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities with hillwalking, nature cruises, kayaking, climbing and cycling possibilities close by. Knowledgeable, friendly staff can provide information on local attractions, hillwalking and nature watching.
Rooms in the youth hostel vary in size, including both private and multi-share. There’s a well-equipped self-catering kitchen, two small lounges and an excellent laundry and drying room. In the dining area you can eat breakfast while watching the fishing boats, birds and seals in the harbour.
Ferries leave daily for Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis whilst cruises visit the Summer Isles.
